We are proud to announce that Prof. Dr. Bige Tunçer, a valued partner in the CitizenCity consortium, has been appointed Full Professor of Information Systems in the Built Environment at TU/e (Eindhoven University of Technology) as of January 15, 2024.

Her research, “Knowing and Shaping Cities: Information Systems for Urban Futures,” explores how data, algorithms, and connected systems shape the social, spatial, and ecological fabric of cities. It integrates human and non-human behavior, environmental sensing, and predictive tools to support more informed urban decision-making.

Her appointment is a major boost for CitizenCity, strengthening our ability to create cities that are resilient, responsive, and designed with citizens at the center.
